Dan Price had a vision when he started Gravity Payments in 2004. Recently, he had another vision, pay every employee at Gravity Payments a minimum of $70,000 a year. Here’s the article.
As compensation disparity between CEO’s and average workers continues to increase (currently it’s 300:1 in the US), this certainly goes against the grain. It also seems to go against all logic but no matter what your opinion is, you have to applaud Dan Price for his effort. This is someone that has identified something he sees as a problem and he’s working to fix that problem. As part of it, Price is slashing his salary from nearly $1 million to… you guessed it, $70,000.
