If you are a passive candidate taking an exploratory call with an Agency Recruiter/Headhunter, understand what could make you an active candidate.
This particular opportunity may not have it, but there is nothing worse than a Recruiter asking some form of “I understand you are just passively looking, but is there anything missing (or keeping you from being happy or successful) in your current role?”
And getting, “That’s a good question, I haven’t really thought about it. OR “I don’t know, I guess I am just seeing what is out there.”
Please do see what is out there, but please be intentional. Recruiters are of greater value to you when you know and can articulate what you are seeking!
